Abella Diaz (born January 12, 2006) is a Latin-American singer, songwriter, producer, actress and model from San Diego, California. As an artist in her own right her style can be considered as a combination of R&B, pop, soul, hip-hop, trap, reggae and Latin influences. Although Diaz is primarily recognised as a songwriter for other mainstream artists, she is set to finally launch her solo recording career in 2026.
In 2024 at the age of 18, Diaz began writing professionally after signing a with Ruff Round Records. Her first major songwriting credit was Alicia Lena’s chart-topping single “Love Comes Not When We’re Looking”, released on March 30, 2024. She followed this with another number-one single co-write with “Love Dealer”, performed by Kara Romero and Younghood, further establishing herself as an emerging songwriter within the music industry. Later that same year, Diaz co-wrote Tahlia’s English language debut “Sun-Kissed”, peaking at number two, marking her third consecutive hit single and truly cementing Diaz as a force of nature as a songwriter. In 2025, she teamed up with Tahlia once more with “Bad Guys” which became the Portuguese artists first number one hit. Momentum as a songwriter for hire stalled slightly in 2025 as Diaz shifted focus and began working on her own tracks. However, she continued her success in 2026 through two collaborations with newly formed pop group CLEO, co-writing “Wildest Dreams”, which peaked at number two and their first ever number one hit with “Dancing With The Devil”. By this stage, Diaz had accumulated six major songwriting credits to her name, including four number one singles, gaining a reputation for her melodic songwriting, emotionally driven lyrics and versatility across multiple genres and styles.
Alongside her work behind the scenes, Diaz began developing her own music following her signing to record label Ruff Round Records back in 2024 but as her path took her in different unexpected directions over the previous two years, it’s clear that 2026 is the year we will finally see Abella Diaz debut her own material under her own name and image. Incorporating elements of R&B, Latin Pop, Hip-Hop, Soul and Trap into her music, her artistic and creative talents have already been littered throughout the music industry over the previous couple of years. But now, it’s time for Abella Diaz to finally take centre stage in her own right.
