It is originally set to be released in 2025 but the date is being push back to July 2026. The album was made in 2022 through Jan 2026. She peform "Dance" exclusively on her tour 2022 before song could come out but managed to peak in number 2 and she release Star before performing at UMA 2025 and peaked at number 2 again. Background & Development After she released her second album "Truly" it managed to topped the chart at number 1 on album charts and she left Big Diamond due to creative difference and lack of communication, she stay with La Familia but she ink a new deal with Ruff Round Records as they allow her to have control of her project. She launched her own tour "Unfinished Business tour" in 2022 as she started recording her album while on tour in between dates of her shows, while she focusing getting her album done she has been interested wanted to launched her own label and manage her own act and she put together of k-pop group “Spicy Starz” and for while her album is still in work in progress aka WIP due to focusing on her protege. She went back to studio to record some songs in different country to finished her third album. In Oct 2022 she release “Dance” to announce as her first single off her upcoming third album which has yet to be titled before in 2025 being reveal her album titles and it managed to debut at number 2. Then in 2025 it was announced that she’ll be performing at Universal Music Awards 2025 but with new single “Star” which it was release in Feb 2025 and has performed at UMA 2025 which it peaked to number 2 again which she release her two singles and peaked at same position at number 2. However toward to finishing her album Tika finally needed some breaks after working hard on her third album and working on her protege “Spicy Starz” which they gone off to signed with RVV Inc before their debut single could come out in 2026, but late 2025 she continued to finished her album until Jan 2026 she completed her album. Her music has a little bit of pop dance vibes as she trying out for the first time instead just pop she wanna goes different direction as she trying to have her album half of r&b and half of pop but in 2024 she decided at the last minute she wanna mixed some genres with dance pop added and with a little bit of reggae, afrobeat and country as she spiced it up. Tika May's signed an new record deal with Ruff Round Records while she still with La Familia in April 2022 after she left Big Diamond in Jan 2022. Prior to release "Dance" she has been working on her second album in Fall 2020 - Summer 2021 and she already got everything line up for her 2021 year but in that year of 2021 has started to go wrong after her album has been pushed back too many times due to focus on Sophia Delaney, re-work the album and everything went backfires when 2021 tour has move to 2022. After she release hits singles and album she left label due to many problem with Big Diamond Records in 2022. The song was written by Tika Mays & Lovechild in the Summer of 2022 at recording studio in Europe and was recorded in June of 2022 and is quite sound different from her other album since Tika's label as the time felt the song has potential, but the lyric is not like radio friendly.
