Ryan: I know it's a cliche to say you've got your entire life to write your debut album but that sentiment feels like it rings true for this album. When you sit with it for a bit and sink your teeth into these songs you can hear how these are unfiltered stories about your life and where you grew up without alienating the listener. The best way I can compare it is an old-school Bruce Springsteen record where he's writing about the working class, blue collar, everyday grind. The setting may be different but the heart is all the same. I may not know your exact experience or where you grew up but this album across its twelve songs paints a vivid picture to invest in. There's an authenticity found across this album that you can't replicate and I love that despite the string of number one hits leading up to this release, you remained utterly honest to yourself. On the composition side of things I love how guitars are at the forefront and a full live band are ever present. Music and the industry and what is popular will always continue to evolve and change with the times, but no one can replicate the magic that can be created on a guitar or behind a piano - and letting the words flow out of you. This album proves that. Jack, you made a fantastic debut LP and it is exciting that this is simply the first chapter in your journey. It's a lot happening at once but I hope you're letting yourself cherish the moment because you have plenty to be proud of. It's an honor to have you joining the tour and I can't wait to start hearing these songs live.

OOC: Don't want to repeat what others have said but you've done a wonderful job building up Jack and creating this very authentic character/artist without ever once feeling forced. I've always admired your knack for taking on vastly different genres and aesthetics over the years where each one feels this own unique entity. In some ways Jack reminds me slightly of the work you've done with Amy/Riot not just from the point of view of both being on the more rock side of things but also how you fleshed them out as very raw and relatable individuals through their lyrics. As I had Ryan mention I may not catch on to all the slang and references on this project, but that doesn't make it any less enjoyable because it's painting a vivid picture even without that context. I hesitate to say this is my favorite album you've ever done because I can think of several albums you've done with the aforementioned Riot or Alicia that also standout in my mind, however I will confidently say that this is a fantastically executed debut for Jack and a project that deserves plenty of praise.
