The stage fades into darkness. The audience is wrapped in silence.
Suddenly, a single spotlight turns on at center stage.
A wedding march starts.
Two motionless figures are revealed: a man and a woman, dressed as bride and groom.

A voice-over, warm and ceremonial, speaks:
“Dearly beloved,
we are gathered here today to celebrate the union of two souls.”
The light tightens on the groom.
“Mark, do you take Karen to be your lawfully wedded wife,
to love her, honor her, and choose her every day,
now and forever?”
A short pause.
Mark: “I do.”
The music gently swells.
Applause fills the room.
The guests smile.
The spotlight slowly moves to the bride.
“Karen, do you take Mark to be your lawfully wedded husband,
to love him, honor him, and promise him your devotion,
now and forever?”
Silence. Seconds pass. Karen lowers her gaze. Her hands begin to shake. The lights fade out one by one.
In complete darkness, a sob is heard. Then another. Karen’s broken breathing.
A distant beat starts to pulse.
🎶 “TOY” begins 🎶
👩🏾🦲 Zafari · 👩🏻🦰 Natasha · 👱🏻♀️ Rose · 👱🏻♂️ David · 👨🏻 Fabriano

The music starts.
At center stage, five giant doll boxes rise into view.
Inside them, The Jollies stand perfectly still, microphones close to their mouths.
Glossy. Artificial. Silent.
They look like toys waiting to be switched on.
The audience is watching.
Only Zafari moves.
He leans slightly forward, smiling — confident, warm, magnetic.
Not singing yet.
Talking to the room.
👩🏾🦲
“Aye, that hurt
But you can still play silly-little-icky-micky games with me”
👩🏾🦲
“Alright… alright…
I know, I know — that hurt.”
(beat)
“Love breaks.
Promises shake.
Plans fall apart.”
(smiles)
“But guess what?”
“You’re still standing.”
“And if you’re still standing…”
“You can still move.”
“You can still dance.”
“You can still play with me.”
The beat drops.
The music explodes into a bright, joyful, Latin-pop rhythm.
Instantly danceable.
The orchestra is visibly enjoying itself — piano bouncing, guitars playful, alive.
The group begins to move inside the boxes.
Zafari keeps hyping the crowd with his strong, clear, unmistakable voice —
the same voice fans recognize from the stadium-style chants in the band’s biggest songs.
The doll boxes slowly descend, revealing five tall rectangular neon frames, glowing pink.

David starts the first verse, still inside the frame.
👱🏻♂️
“I’ve got seams and shiny skin,
But every scratch tells where I’ve been.
Buttons, thread, a painted smile—
I’ve been yours a long, long while.”
The rest of the group joins him on the next lines, harmonizing.
👩🏾🦲👨🏻👱🏻♂️👩🏻🦰👱🏻♀️
“You held me close when you were scared,
Tossed me aside, but I still cared.
You grew up fast, I stayed the same,
Still I wait for a little game.”
Natasha steps forward vocally.
Her voice is gritty, rock-edged — yet perfectly at home in this bright, upbeat melody.
👩🏻🦰
“I’m more than plastic, more than play,
A silent friend that you took and packed away.”
The group answers, lifting the final words to build momentum.
👩🏾🦲👨🏻👱🏻♂️👩🏻🦰👱🏻♀️
“I saw your dreams, I felt your fears,
I’ve carried you through out all these years.”
Suddenly, they break formation.
All five step out of the neon frames, finally free.
They start a synchronized group dance, simple and infectious, inviting everyone to copy it.
The
choreography is simple and repetitive, easy to copy instantly. It divides into these steps:
- Stiff, doll-like moves at first (arms and head slightly robotic)
- Clap–clap above the head, then clap at chest level
- Step right, step left, small bounce in the knees
- Turn in a small circle, inviting others to join
- Side-to-side sway, like a wedding dance
- points to themselves,
- then points to the crowd.
Smiles over precision.
The messier it gets, the better it looks.
Natasha sings the first line of the chorus. The rest of the group joins her immediately.
🎶
“👩🏻🦰 They see plastic, they see glue,
👩🏾🦲👨🏻👱🏻♂️👩🏻🦰👱🏻♀️But I remember all of you.
👩🏻🦰 They see plastic, they see glue,
👩🏾🦲👨🏻👱🏻♂️👩🏻🦰👱🏻♀️ But I remember all of me.
👩🏻🦰 Maybe you forgot my name
👩🏻🦰 But I’m still here, I will be the same.
👩🏾🦲👨🏻👱🏻♂️👩🏻🦰👱🏻♀️ I’m more than plastic, more than play,
👩🏾🦲👨🏻👱🏻♂️👩🏻🦰👱🏻♀️ A silent friend today.”

👩🏻🦰 Maybe you forgot my name

👩🏾🦲👨🏻👱🏻♂️👩🏻🦰👱🏻♀️ I’m more than plastic, more than play,

🎶
👩🏻🦰 No matter how far that you go—
👩🏾🦲👨🏻👱🏻♂️👩🏻🦰👱🏻♀️ I’m the story only you know.”**
🎶
Zafari keeps encouraging the audience to dance.
In the crowd, the bride and groom reappear, now smiling, relaxed.
They perform the choreography clearly, like guides, helping the audience follow.

After the chorus, Zafari takes over again. The group improvises a playful limbo, a lighthearted catwalk all laughing and teasing each other. Everyone is having fun.
Fabriano, however, steps slightly aside. Known as the most precise member of the group, he delivers the next verse with self-ironic seriousness.

👨🏻
“Under the bed, behind the door,
Waiting just like I did before.
👩🏾🦲👨🏻👱🏻♂️👩🏻🦰👱🏻♀️ Not just a doll, or action pose,
👩🏾🦲👨🏻👱🏻♂️👩🏻🦰👱🏻♀️ I’m the story that no one knows.”
The others join him on the final lines.
Rose takes the lead as the group starts moving off the stage, greeting and interacting with the audience.
“👱🏻♀️ You gave me voices (👩🏾🦲 Yahoo), 👱🏻♀️ gave me roles (👩🏾🦲 I’ll be on top),
👱🏻♀️ We built whole worlds from living rooms and bowls.
👩🏾🦲👨🏻👱🏻♂️👩🏻🦰👱🏻♀️ I was brave, I flew and cried,
👩🏾🦲👨🏻👱🏻♂️👩🏻🦰👱🏻♀️ When you believed, I really came alive.”
The chorus repeats.
This time, the audience fully dances along —
The Jollies are in the middle of the crowd, singing with them.
🎶 (Chorus repeats unchanged) 🎶

After the chorus, Zafari jumps back in.
He rapidly repeats fragments of the intro, adding vocal runs and hype shouts.
A conga line forms. The bride and groom join it first.
Then other recognizable faces from the audience are pulled in.
{OOC: You can interact and make your character join in if you want, enjoy the conga!}
The conga winds through the venue, joyful and chaotic, before returning to the stage.

One last chorus.
Then, only The Jollies and the couple remain on stage.
The five step back into their doll boxes.
The bride and groom kiss.
Lights fade.
Applause explodes. "
THANK YOU" Zafari screams one last time.
