CastorDrake: @ScottOffThePress Also, "Mugabe and the White Africa" (award-winning documentary), "Blood Diamond" (starring Leonardo DiCaprio), and "The Interpreter" (staring Nicole Kidman). All three movies or documentaries that either focus on the struggles of white farmers in Zimbabwe, or focus on the after-effects of the atrocities on specific characters. So your jab at Hollywood fell flat, although I'm not sure who that was for.

CastorDrake: @ScottOffThePress Also, you'll notice that I've been directly addressing you in these past three embarrassing long tweets back. That's because I feel like there's a difference between talking with somebody and talking at somebody. Talking with somebody is how ideas are exchanged and minds are changed. Talking at somebody is saying something that was obviously meant for a specific person to hear it - me (and I don't feel that I'm being presumptuous in saying that, since you directly referenced my tweet) - but rather than just saying it to them, you adopt a "I'm talking louder, so what I have to say is more important" atmosphere to what you're saying. I don't know about you, but I much prefer talking with somebody.

ScottOffThePress: @CastorDrake If you had prefaced it with that, it would have been fine. The fact is you used a largely correct generalisation about white America being privileged and tried to project it on the whole world incorrectly. It was narrow minded and I wanted to point that out on my twitter account. The reason I felt the need to not send it straight to you is because yours was merely the latest post doing the same thing. It felt prudent that a lot of people should see it.

ScottOffThePress: @CastorDrake Googling three movies about Africa doesn't make your own tweets any more right. And hey, if Hollywood has addressed that issue correctly, then fair play to Hollywood.
