Around a year ago, everyone was celebrating the nationwide legalisation of gay marriage. Today we mourn the loss of the innocent souls caught up in America's largest mass shooting. Someone's sexuality should not concern, scare or anger you. America prides itself in being "the land of the free", but unfortunately you can only be free if you fit into certain categories. The LGBT community are still targetted to this day and made to feel like outsiders and even inferior in their own homeland. Don't dare say homophobia is over because it isn't. Nobody should be shot down where they stand, doing something they love. She was meeting fans at the time, I heard?
